Setting up was very easy to do. Basically you plug in two red pieces which connects the battery and the camera part together. It has an on/off switch on the camera section that is very easy to get to. Next to this is where you would plug in the usb part to charge the battery or run the camera if you wish to have it setup near a computer or plugin site. It does require a macro SD card for it to record video or photos. This is located on the camera section and also very easy to place and remove.
The camera has the capability of recording both video with sound and photos. Video quality is very good and very sharp. The sound quality really impressed me. I wasn't sure how it would sound being so small but you are able to hear the conversations clearly. Depending on the size of the SD card you put in it you are able to record a good amount of video without it filling up.
Another great feature is the remote. This allows you to start the video recording and take pictures. But if you wish to not use the remote you may also use the camera area itself. The remote is very discreet and would fit nicely on a key chain without anyone noticing.
Speaking of discreet the camera itself is very small and when worn you can barley see it and you would really have to look for it. Battery life is very good as well and lasts a long time.
Overall this is a great spy camera that has allowed my son to explore the idea of being a private investigator!
